Tijdens de presentatie op donderdag hebben wij de theorie behandeld en deze hebben wij vrijdag toegepast in de praktijk. De verpleegkundige waren erg enthousiast en wij hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad.
In de gesprekken met de verpleegkundigen besef ik steeds meer dat wij in Nederland verwend zijn met het aanbod van wondmaterialen. Hier in Nepal zijn wondverbanden schaars. Last Thursday and Friday, Roxanne, Hilde, Stephanie and I gave a presentation and practical lesson to the head nurses at the Nepal Medical College Teaching Hospital. The following themes were offered: bandaging, scar treatments and wound treatment concluded with wound materials.
During the presentation on Thursday we discussed the theory and applied it Friday in practice. The nurses was very enthusiast and we had a great time.
In the conversations with the nurses I realize more and more that we in the Netherlands are spoiled with the supply of wound materials. Here in Nepal, wound dressings are scarce.
